Xceptance at the JUG Saxony Day 2022

The largest IT-community conference in Saxony is finally taking place in person again, after two years of virtual events due to the Covid pandemic. Xceptance has participated numerous times in the past and will be present again this year, both as an event sponsor and with a presentation. Our team is looking forward to the opportunity to meet people, as well as to the many talks on topics such as Java, Cloud, Architecture, Quality, and IT and Society.
Registration opens at 7.30 am, with the official start of the conference at 8.45 am. The keynote address, on digital forensics, begins at 9 am. Presentations on diverse topics in six tracks will be offered until 6 pm, interspersed with breaks where you have a chance to enjoy coffee and cake and talk to speakers and other attendees.
As part of the Java track, René Schwietzke, co-founder and Managing Director at Xceptance, will speak about “Das Java Memory Modell (JMM): Missverständnisse rund um Memory und Threads”. In his talk he will explain how the JVM and the operating system implement parallelism and how they interact with memory and caches. This understanding is important in order to write stable and reliable code. Those interested are invited to join René in the room “Dresden” from 3.20 to 4.20 pm.

At 6 pm there will be a raffle with chances to win prizes such as books and coupons. You can participate by submitting your feedback regarding the sessions and the conference through the JUG Saxony Day app. In addition, the three best speakers of the day will be announced.
Immediately after the close of the conference, there will be a chance to relax and visit over dinner in the hotel; advance registration is required.
