Starting in the winter semester of 2022/2023, Xceptance will be participating in the "study programs with in-depth practical experience" at Ernst-Abbe-University in Jena.
In order to offer students more practical experience during their studies, companies from Jena and the region are signing a partnership with the university. Engineering courses are expanded by practical modules. Rector Prof. Teichert emphasized this "win-win-win situation" in his welcoming speech at the kick-off event, since everyone involved benefits from this cooperation.
Students acquire practical knowledge that goes beyond the content of their studies and put themselves in an optimal starting position for their career entry - as a best case scenario in their cooperation company. As a further plus, they don’t have to worry about financial support. The companies get to know potential junior staff and increase their visibility at the university. In addition, the EAH also benefits from this cooperation since potential students are attracted by this special offer.
Prof. Stepping, head of the bachelor's degree program "E-Commerce" at EAH Jena, spoke of "ideal conditions and an optimal bond with Jena". "This study model is also excellently suited for the classic technical engineering courses," emphasized Prof. Förster from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
"The cooperation with the Ernst Abbe University is our investment in the future, both for our company and for Jena as a location. We are looking forward to passing on our knowledge in the field of software testing to the students and integrating them into our team. We give them room to develop their own solutions and discover their personal recipe for success."
