Simone Drill
Founder
Simone is a founder of Xceptance. From 2000 to 2004, she served as Quality Assurance Manager at Intershop Communications AG before founding Xceptance. As our Quality Assurance Manager, she is now primarily responsible for all quality assurance services we offer for Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware, Inc.). In addition, she has a knack for generating innovative business ideas, contributing valuable insights to the team. Simone studied Business Informatics at the Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences.
Roy Sarnoch
Founder and Managing Director
As a founder of Xceptance, Roy has served as Managing Director since 2004, establishing and fostering the company’s business philosophy from its inception. From 1998 to 2004, he was Corporate Counsel at Intershop Communications AG, a e-commerce company based in Jena, Germany. Roy studied law at Humboldt University of Berlin. His extensive leadership experience and deep understanding of the e-commerce industry have contributed to Xceptance’s consistent growth and solid reputation as a trusted business partner.
René Schwietzke
Founder and Managing Director
As a founder of Xceptance, René contributes his technical expertise in software quality assurance to the management board. He has served as Xceptance’s Managing Director since 2004 and plays a key role in shaping the company’s profile, including the ongoing evaluation and development of its test tools and services. Since 2006, he has also served as CEO of Xceptance, Inc., based in Cambridge, MA, USA. Before founding Xceptance, René was Technical Director of the quality assurance department at Intershop Communications AG, gaining valuable experience in e-commerce and web-based software. René holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Brandenburg University of Technology.
Ronny Vogel
Founder
As a founder of Xceptance, Ronny has served as Quality Assurance Manager since 2004. From 1998 to 2004, he held the same position at Intershop Communications AG, where he met Simone, Roy, and René. Ronny holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Chemnitz University of Technology. Before co-founding Xceptance, he was also a research associate in the Computer Science department at Chemnitz University, developing extensive technological knowledge and expertise
Sara B. Young
Director Americas
As Director, USA, Sara joined Xceptance in 2008. She helped establish Xceptance, Inc. in North America and shapes the company’s presence in the American market. She completed her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.) and The Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio), graduating from OSU with a Bachelor’s degree in German, Chinese, and International Business. Following a Fulbright year in Germany, she earned a Master’s degree in German Literature from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
