We believe in the importance of education and are happy to support the first official university-based TEDx event in Jena.
TED is a nonprofit, philanthropic organization with the mission to bring "ideas worth spreading" to the world and initiate relevant conversations to create a better future. In so-called TED Talks, speakers from any discipline are welcome to come up with ideas on a wide range of subjects, such as science, business, and global issues; all TED talks are accessible online to foster free education.
The TEDx program helps design local and independent TED-style events to support conversation and connection in communities around the world.
TEDxFSU Jena has been organized by a group of international students and will feature talks on the theme "changes that matter". Since we strongly believe in the power of education and inspiration, we are more than happy to be the main sponsor of the event and to help establish a local tradition as it is to take place annually.
